GWEFODE’s operational strategy is to enhance sustainable livelihoods among the local underprivileged community groups especially women, by working with communities to promote their social, health and economic well-being through programs such as Human Rights and Leadership Development, Livelihoods and Natural Resources Governance. The Human Rights and Leadership Development program involves Participatory Governance and Gender Equity Advocacy, Violence against Women / Girls Prevention and Support, Conflict Resolution and Peace Building. The Livelihoods and Natural Resources Governance Program involves Sustainable Organic Agriculture and Food Security, Climate Change and Biodiversity Management, Water Governance for Nature Life and Livelihoods, Economic Empowerment
