GWEFODE creates awareness on maternal and child health and advocates for improved health services to reduce on maternal and child morbidity and mortality in areas of operation. Sexuality education also addresses adolescence, sexuality, gender, rights and the prevention of health risks such as HIV & AIDS, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies. GWEFODE strengthens Youth Friendly Services in Sexual and Reproductive health in the Health Care system as a strategy for maternal health promotion.
GWEFODE also enhances community awareness through advocacy about obstetric fistula causes, treatment, mitigation and prevention; support social- reintegration of obstetric fistula women survivors through psychosocial counseling, support and economic empowerment
