Women in Entrepreneurship Project

This project aims to mitigate climate change and empower women and youth through entrepreneurship training and go green innovations to promote self reliance and environmental conservation.


CAPTION: Eco friendly products produced out recycled Agricultural Waste Paper and Wax

Activities include training women in developing and manufacturing of candles, charcoal briquettes and hand crafts including hand-made biodegradable packaging bags, shopping bags, Corporate marketing bags, Gift bags and souvenirs out of banana fibre and other agricultural wastes. The Initiative ecologically recovers agricultural waste, waste paper and natural fibres to transform them into products useful for the local market providing an eco-friendly alternative to the environmentally hazardous polythene bags which were banned by the government of Uganda.
